Ever since I can remember I have always loved to draw. I think being blessed with patience and an attention to detail is what has made me so sucessful at what I do. Although there are times when it can drive me insane, for the most part, it's a very relaxing and often very rewarding activity.
Outside of work and drawing, I do find other ways to keep myself busy. Of course I'm still playing hockey and still losing my teeth. Actually the sport can sometimes be as relaxing to me as drawing; they're both a great way for me to take my mind off of things. Although I rarely watch television now-a-days, I still enjoy movies. From Bridge on the River Kwai to American Pie, I'll watch almost any film no matter what genre.
After nearly 28 years of living in my wonderful hometown of St. Louis, MO, I decided to venture out west to Los Angeles in order to be closer to the film industry. Some of my commissioned pieces have been created for writers, actors and even major motion picture studios. In 2006, I created a lithograph for the movie Crash that was distributed by Lionsgate Films to the actors and filmmakers of the movie after winning the Academy Award for Best Motion Picture. Overall, I think Los Angeles is an amazing city and I look forward to the many opportunities that lie ahead.
